Textured Rollers Create Designer Walls Without High Costs
Decorative painting specialists are using textured rollers to replicate expensive finishes at a fraction of the cost. Venetian plaster effects can be achieved with specialty rollers and ordinary drywall compound. "It's about layering," explains designer Marco Ricci. "Start with a base coat, then add dimension with textured rollers." Home improvement stores now carry rollers that create patterns from subtle linen to dramatic stone effects. The technique requires practice but saves up to 75% compared to professional plaster work. Most designs need only standard latex paint and proper sealing.
